    OutKast 2002

OutKast adds 2 more players for 2002
OutKast Softball is pleased to announce the signing of Michael Termini and outfielder/first baseman Al Hunter for this upcoming year.  Al Hunter, #55, joins our team after moving here from Hawaii! Already we can see that Al has tremendous pop in his bat.  We aren't going to ask him why he would want to move from paradise to here, but we are pleased to have him.  OutKast was also able to sign Michael Termini, #29, to our squad this year.  Mike provides us a great stick in our line-up.  His veteran leadership is going to be an asset to our team.  Both Al and Mike have played at the B level in USSSA.  They both bring great offensive production to our already potent line-up.  Brad Moorehead, Michael Termini, and Al Hunter bring impressive resumes to our team.  Coupled with our already solid core, it's going to be an exciting year for Outkast softball..  On behalf of all of OutKast we would like to welcome Brad, Mike, and Al to our team.  Welcome aboard! 

2001 Accomplishments:
-Finished 8th in the USSSA C-division in the state of Illinois in the summer.
-Finished 1st in Crystal Lake's Annual Miller Lite Kiss-It tournament in the USSSA C-division.
-Finished 1st in Joliet's Thursday night USSSA C-division league in the summer.
-Finished 1st in Bolingbrook's Thursday night ASA A-division league in the fall.
-Finished 1st in Bolingbrook's Sunday night ASA A-division league in the fall.
-Finished 1st in Bolingbrook's Thursday night ASA A-division Fall League tournament.

2001 Notables:
-Had the 2nd highest winning percentage in USSSA C-division
-Scored the 3rd highest amount of runs per game in USSSA C-division.
-Moved up to the C-division half way through the first season and won the first tournament.
-Still managed an 8th place finish in State despite missing first half of the season.

2002 Outlook:
In 2002, there is every reason to believe OutKast will contend for the state title.  In only their second year of existence, Outkast achieved all of the above accomplishments and finished 8th in the state.  Looking ahead to next year, Oukast plans on expanding their tournament schedule by adding NSA and ASA tournaments to the schedule.  Outkast won the most competitive C league in the area by finishing first in Joliet on Thursday Nights.  Outkast will be up to the challenge next year when they move up to the B league on Thursday Nights in Joliet. It's going to be an exciting year for Outkast softball; come watch us play!
